Originally a Collieries and Brickworks, the company began operations in the 1880s, with this plant being built in the 1930s. The company was sold in 1985 and with that some major changes were made including a name change. Stepping into the 1990s demand for their products continued to grow, and their second tunnel kiln and dryer was opened in 1994, which doubled production capacity enabling them to meet the increased demand for their products.
In more recent times, due to a slow down in the housing industry the company fell on tough time and went into voluntary liquidation. The plant has remained vacant and its future is undecided.
